ESS Academy & Select Team Open Tryouts
Unlike the most U.S. soccer clubs, we’re not primarily focused on team wins, but rather providing our players opportunities to explore, develop and perfect their skills both in practice and in real game scenarios. In addition to our routine scrimmages, competitive games are the best environment for our players to gain confidence and fully unleash their abilities on the field, which is the real “win” in player development.
European Soccer School will hold open tryout sessions ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Dates:
May 15th – June 15th
(Tuesdays & Thursdays only)

6:30pm – 8pm
Ages:
U8 – U18 (players born between 2008 – 2018)

North Jr. High Fields in Richardson

General Tryout Information
Roster Day will be June 15th followed by Signing Day on July 1st. Players still looking for a team after the 1st will need to contact the team directly for more information. Our list of teams can be found at here.
Tryout Process
All players will go directly to the field where they will be trying out per the tryout schedule posted above. Only coaches and players allowed within the fence. Parents remain on the outside of the fence. Every player and parent trying out for a USYS team must sign the fact sheet signature page provided to you from the manager of the team.
What do I need to bring to tryouts?
All players need to bring a ball, shin guards, and water to all sessions.
